Honesty, I don't really see the point in all this county and state testing, it's just taking up time that would've been used to take tests that actually count towards our grades or even work on projects. When a student asks the teacher why we have to take these tests, they reply "We have to; it's the county's policy, not mine.” This is the usual response we get every time we ask. Also, having a bunch of students all trying to log on at the same time, in order to just take a test is very time consuming. And afterwards, I found myself drained for the rest of the day. We already have a lot to worry about, and to be taking all these tests day after day just to see how things are going instructionally, has little to no value for us. Plus, it has been unfair to us and the staff as well, due to the days we had to spend, as opposed to learning new things or working on projects we create. So as a student that goes to school in Wicomico County, I don't see the point behind so much testing. It is a total waste of everybody’s time.
